Sporty Chic: Who doesn’t love being comfy and cute?!

Seriously, who doesn’t love being comfy and cute?! Sporty chic allows you to do just that. Let’s start with exactly what Sport Chic is. Sporty Chic is defined as mixing elegant pieces with more athletic casual pieces. Sounds fun, right? Let’s go over just how you can make this trend work for you.

I fell in love with this fashion trend when I realized I wanted to still dress up, but I wasn’t in the mood to go all the way in if you know what I mean. When I think of Sporty chic I envision one of my favorite dresses and then pair it with a cool pair of sneakers. But there are a variety of ways that you can execute this trend. I’ll list a few for your reference.

1. A cute dress (any length) and a cool pair of sneakers.

2. Joggers, a bodysuit, and a cute pair of booties or heels.

3. Structured trousers, a sweatshirt, and sneakers.

4. A fitted skirt, a graphic t-shirt, a baseball cap, and sneakers or heels.

5. Joggers, a button down flowy shirt or a shirt with sparkle, and sneakers or heels.

6. A suit, a printed shirt, and colorful fun sneakers.

These are just a few of my go-to’s when I feel like being sporty chic. I know this trend may be scary to some because of the fear of it coming off as more of a frumpy look but to ensure this doesn’t happen, just focus on the fit. Ensuring the correct fit will guarantee that you look trendy and cool and far from frumpy. Unless frumpy is what you’re going for then in that case hey, do you and OWN IT! Lol

Make sure your joggers aren’t too tight but also not too baggy. When going for the graphic t-shirt look, use your go to tee(we all have one). If you aren’t a true sneaker head a plain white sneaker will always work.
