Let’s talk the hottest Spring Trends! Spring has Sprung and people are finally going outside. The sweats have been retired and the real clothes have come out to play. All of those outfits that we bought while stuck in the house for over a year are about to finally about to get some love. But, if you were one of the ones that clutched your purse because you were uncertain of what was to come and now you are ready to shop, then I GOT YOU! When shopping each season I like to throw in a few trending pieces to make sure I’m on top of the newest, latest, coolest trends. This Spring there are a lot of trends circulating as with any season but today I’m going to focus on my favorites that are sure to give you that Effortlessly Stylish Look.
1. Crop Tops
This one is definitely #1 for me. Nothing screams “I’m outside” like a crop top! They come in so many different styles, colors, patterns, and textures and can be worn with anything from jeans, to shorts, to skirts. This is a style that you can definitely have some fun with. Once you know how to style them the real fun begins. My favorite way to wear them is with a great pair of Mom jeans. After having two kids me and my midsection still aren’t seeing eye to eye but that’s not going to stop me from rocking this trend and nothing should stop you either.
2.Wide Leg Pants
Hear me when I say the wider the better. I mean so wide they may be mistaken for a skirt. I’m going all in with this one and when I say they are in, they are in.They can be cropped, high-waisted, structured, printed, solid, textured, you name it! They can even be paired perfectly with the first trend, crop tops.
3. Pastels
If you have been following me for a while then you know I have a Love Jones with color, pastels included! There’s something about soft colors that just scream Spring. Even if this wasn’t a trend you would still see it. Pastels in Spring is just one of those things that comes naturally. You think Spring, you think Pastels, you think Easter. Designers call it Ice Cream Shop Inspo, but anybody from the South can agree with me when I marry Pastels and Easter.
4. Show Some Leg
After being insecure about my legs all my life, we out here! If it’s shorts, a mini skirt, a mini dress, a swimsuit, or all of the above I am all about showing some leg this Spring! You should be too, there’s something about showing a little skin that always gives me a little extra sex appeal and I love it. I have leaned more towards mini skirts this year though. Tennis skirts are back in and giving me a chance to live out my Clueless vibes again so I can’t pass that up. I’ve also purchased a few printed mini skirts that I love. Now is the time to let your legs hang out, a long leg is the silhouette of the season so the shorter the hemline the better.
5. Puff Sleeves
Puff Sleeves are jumping from season to season and yes they are here again for Spring. If you ask me, I’m happy about it! I’m all about the drama and puff sleeves give me just that. I’m a stickler for details and puff sleeves are not lacking in that department.
